Tribeca Immersive Virtual Arcade and Storyscapes Projects Unveiled for Tribeca 2017
The Tribeca Film Festival has announced its 2017 virtual reality line up and we are excited to announce that four Here Be Dragons’ experiences will be featured!
Tribeca will launch the world premiere of Kathryn Bigelow and Imraan Ismail’s “The Protectors: Walk in the Ranger’s Shoes”, which transports users to a day in the life of African park rangers protecting elephants from ivory poachers.
Also announced are “The Last Goodbye” by Gabo Arora and Ari Palitz, an immersive recording of Holocaust survivor Pinchas Gutter’s testimony, and “Tree” by Milica Zec and Winslow Porter, a piece that melds VR with physicality as participants become a rainforest tree.
Tribeca will additionally feature the final episode of “The Possible” series which gives viewers direct access to visionaries who are making the future happen today. Hope to see you at the festival April 19-30!
