Edu is the Executive Creative Director at Here Be Dragons, where he oversees the creative output of the studio.
His journey starts in 1996 as a copywriter in his native Barcelona, where he joins Briefing, one of the pioneering interactive agencies in Spain. Later becomes Creative Director at DoubleYou Barcelona and Madrid, leading projects for San Miguel, SEAT, Audi, and Nike -including the Grand Prix winner at Cannes in 2004. In 2006 he moves to the United States to join the interactive team at Crispin Porter + Bogusky as the agency is named Interactive Agency of the Year in Cannes, working for clients such as Domino’s Pizza, Burger King, Nike, and Volkswagen. Back in Europe, he spends 7 years at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, first as the Creative Director for global clients such as Coca-Cola, Electronic Arts, BASF, and Nokia, and later as Director of Creative Innovation responsible for all the accounts. In 2014 he returns to the United States to be the Chief Creative Officer at The Barbarian Group to produce innovative work for brands such as Samsung, GE, Pepsi, and IBM.
As a result of working for brave and demanding clients, and of being surrounded by excellent colleagues, he’s collectively won well over 100 awards, including Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, CLIOs, New York Festivals, Sol, and FIAP. He’s also been on the jury of the most prestigious advertising award competitions around the world, and has given speeches at industry conferences across the globe.
